Installation

You can ensure yourself a problem-free installation by following these steps.

These instructions apply to software downloads and installations.

System Requirements:

  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows 3.1/95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP
  • CPU: Pentium processor minimum
  • Memory: 16M or more for All Windows
  • Free hard drive space: 3-10 M

 

Q: How do I download a product?

Depending upon your browser configuration, one of the following dialogs will appear prior to your download beginning:

Save As: Click on Save to begin downloading. Make sure to note the name of the directory in which your file is being saved.

File Download: Select Save This Program To Disk and click on OK. A Save As dialog will appear. Click on Save to begin downloading. Make sure to note the name of the directory in which your file is being saved.

NOTE: Wait for the installer you have selected to be completely downloaded. You need only download one copy of the installer.
Make sure there is nothing else running on your system – close any background tasks you have running.

Click on the Start button in the Windows task bar and select Run from the menu which appears.

Click on Browse in the Run dialog and navigate to where you downloaded the installer to. Select the downloaded installer and click on Open.

Click on OK in the Run dialog. The installer will open and walk you through the rest of the installation process. Unless you have a good reason to do otherwise, we recommend that you install your software to its default directory, as selected by the installer.

Do not attempt to install this software by double-clicking on the installer from Windows Explorer, or through the Add/Remove Programs function of the Windows Control Panel. Note that the Add/Remove Programs function can be used to uninstall your applications.


 

Q: How do I install a product?

To install a ScreensaversDotCom product, simply run the executable installation program that you have downloaded (or, if you have downloaded a Zip file, run the Setup program contained in the file. See below) and follow the on-screen instructions.


 

Q: How do I un-install a product?

Your screensaver comes with an uninstaller icon located in your start menu/programs folder. To uninstall the product, go to your start menu and scroll to programs. In this list you will see a folder for your screensaver. Scroll to this screensaver folder and double click the uninstall icon. Reboot your machine to remove any orphaned files left behind.

You can also run the uninstall program by using the Add and Remove Windows features. Go to your start menu and scroll to your control panel. Double click the Add and Remove icon. Once the list compiles, scroll for your screensaver title. Left mouse click once to highlight the program and then click the Remove button. Reboot your machine to remove any orphaned files left behind.

Can I get a refund after I purchase a product? Since the software is fully functional on a limited basis, your decision to purchase is assumed to mean that you find the product satisfactory and desirable. Therefore due to the nature of the software, we are unable to provide a refund once you have made a purchase.
